Executive Director

Diane Lowrance

As Executive Director, Lowrance is responsible for managing the delivery of mental health, mental retardation, and early childhood intervention services to approximately 5,000 individuals per year. She also develops and manages a $15 million annual budget, oversees human resources for approximately 230 employees, ensures compliance with regulations and standards, and represents the center in community activities and events.

Lowrance joined the MHMR Center of Nueces County staff in 1992. In addition to serving as the center's Executive Director, she has also held the positions of Director of Provider Services, Director of Mental Retardation Services, Associate Director of Community Services, Infant Development Program Director, and Alternate Living Unit Program Director. Prior to her employment at the Nueces County center, Lowrance served for five years on the staff of the Ada Wilson Children's Center for Rehabilitation in Corpus Christi.

Lowrance holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi. She is a Licensed Psychologist Associate and a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Active in many community organizations, Lowrance is past chair of the Regional Transportation Advisory Committee and the United Way Info-Line Committee. She is also a member of:
