Executive Director

Diane Lowrance

As Executive Director, Lowrance is responsible for managing the delivery of mental health, intellectual disabilities, and early childhood intervention services to approximately 7,000 individuals per year. She also develops and manages a $17 million annual budget, oversees human resources for approximately 280 employees, ensures compliance with regulations and standards, and represents the center in community activities and events.

Lowrance joined the MHMR staff in 1992. In addition to serving as the Executive Director, she has held positions of Director of Provider Services, Director of Mental Retardation Services, Associate Director of Community Services, Infant Development Program Director, and Alternate Living Unit Program Director. Prior to her employment at the Nueces County center, Lowrance served for five years on the staff of the Ada Wilson Children's Center for Rehabilitation in Corpus Christi.

Lowrance holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi. She is a Licensed Psychologist Associate and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She was the YWCA Y Women in Careers Award Recipient for 2009.

Active in many community organizations, Lowrance is past chair of the Regional Transportation Advisory Committee. She is also a member of:
